In August 2025, my mom and I set off on a dream trip to Hawaii to celebrate her 60th birthday, one that turned into a truly unforgettable mother-daughter experience. We stayed at the iconic The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort (somewhere I would happily return to), spending our days soaking up the sun on Waikiki’s perfect beaches and indulging in treats from Leonard’s Bakery (an absolute must). Our days were filled with adventure, from a stunning Diamond Head sail where we spotted dolphins, to a UTV tour at Kualoa Ranch, where we explored iconic film locations, to a solo Atlantis Submarine dive where I descended to the ocean floor and witnessed Hawaii’s incredible marine life up close. We explored breathtaking landscapes, stopped for some of the best shrimp at Shrimp Shack, and shared moments that felt both grounding and exhilarating. It was a trip filled with joy, laughter, and beauty—one we’ll carry with us forever.
